Announcements

As new events come about, you are encouraged to supply complete information about them to your Webmaster.   On the website calendar we'll try to provide basic information, like event name, time and date.  But it's right here on the Announcements page that you can put the detailed information that will get people's attention so they'll remember to attend your event.  Be sure and make this step part of your event planning work.  It's easy: just send everything in an email to the webmaster.

We Have a New Music Director
Introducing Lorri Bond
Working hard, since last summer, to find a new music director, we are thrilled to announce that our efforts have been rewarded.
Living scarcely more than a stone throw from our church, with husband (Josh) and a charming little daughter (Evelyn),
Lorri is a fine and dedicated artist who will play both piano and organ, and also direct the choir.
Beginning with the first week in May, Lorri will be our full-time Music Director.
Be sure and welcome Lorri and her family the very first chance you have.

We will be hosting our 2nd. Annual Town Wide Yard Sale on May 3rd (Rain or Shine).

Also, the Church will have a table on the Common to support the Budget--we are looking for donations.
Call Jane if you have items (we will even pick up at your home).
Thanks.

BOOK TALK
The Poisonwood Bible is our next  book selection for a discussion on May 20 at 7PM at Norm & Lois May's House.

Do you like to read, discuss, and socialize?  If so, please consider joining with other folk in our church
as we focus on The Poisonwood Bible
, a novel by Barbara Kingsolver.  This is a highly charged portrayal of a Christian missionary family's life in the Congo, set during the period that
saw the end of Belgian rule.  Please believe: this fictional story is not pro-missionary.

As you may know, our town library has been wonderfully supportive of our reading program,
garnering copies of our selections and providing them to us so we can in turn make them
available to you.   In all likelihood we'll can look forward to this help again being forthcoming
for this selection; so k
eep an eye on this page for more details.

To view a brief synopsis, just click on the picture of the book cover, above.

P.S.  Don't forget; non-church members are encouraged to participate.  So, invite your friends or,
if you're just visiting our website, come yourself.  You'll find a warm welcome.
