Sarah Hubble Bio
Sarah Hubbell, is a recent graduate of Andover
Newton Theological Seminary and one of the winners of this year's
Koinonia
Award,
sponsored by the EC/LVA of this church. Sarah writes briefly about
herself:
I am one of those people who, like Jonah, took a
few extra calls by
God in order to head toward parish ministry, which is my current
destination.
|
I've
always been interested in connections
ever since I was born in Missouri and went to school in
Wisconsin. I used to focus on the connections
between people
and environments through time, which is why I was a professional
archaeologist.
I found out that I like working with live ones better than dead ones
which
led to a career with the National Park Service as a park ranger in
various
parts of the United States. After my husband and I got
married, we
settled in Massachusetts, and our two children were born here.
After many years, I started looking at larger
connections, including
the one with God. Eventually, that led to coming to Andover
Newton
on the eternity plan, otherwise known as doing a M.Div. degree
part-time.
After graduation, I will be seeking ordination in the United Church of
Christ.
