Our Annual Organ Concert
For our 5th year in a row, we have offered up to the Community the wonder of our
beautiful organ ... beautiful to behold, and also, in the hands of a master organist, beautiful to listen to.
Nikolas Fehr, invited down from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, much more than fulfilled our expectations, not only with his truly remarkable touch and insight, but also with the excellent program he structured for us to enjoy.
Nikolas, besides being a wonderful musician, is also a delightful personality.  We can thank him, and also thank
Mary Lu Mathis who actively recruited him for the occasion.

George Bozeman chats with
Nikolas Fehr before the Concert begins.

Eldon and Marge with their nephew.
The crowd gathers in the Sanctuary
Pastor Jim welcomes the audience.
Mary Lu Mathis also makes some welcoming remarks and then introduces Nikolas.

And Nikolas introduces the program.
Nikolas asked Bob Popple (our former Music Director
and Organist) to help pulling stops. Turns out Bob also was
invaluable in unjamming a repeatedly stuck key.

Thank you, Bob.

Nikolas promised to do a few pieces on the bandoleon.  Nikolas has studied this instrument in Argentina where it is a favorite for small bands throughout the country.
After the concert (and after the reception, after the concert)
some of us gathered at Lilly's for a celebratory meal.  Lots of fun.
